Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left unimpressed as they threatened to ‘switch off’ after what they say was the “worst golden buzzer”.

During Saturday’s (April 18) episode of the ITV hit talent show, Youtuber KSI used his golden buzzer to send one act to the live shows but his decision has come under fire from fans.

Fans tuned in for the final auditions in the 19th series of the hit talent show as contestants from all across the country showed off their skills in a bid to impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI.

It comes as no surprise that they went all out in a bid to impress the panel and win the £250,000 cash prize as well as a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance. And as always, they are all hoping to secure the golden buzzer – which sends them straight through to the live shows.

However one performer caused quite a stir. Mr Cherry – a Guinness World Record holder and former competitor on America’s Got Talent in 2021 – took to the stage and left everyone speechless with his unusual act.

The comedian ‘strongman’, 44, started his strange act with him opening a tight jar of pickles, which neither judge KSI or Simon Cowell could achieve.

He went on to crush cans open by sitting on them. But then things took a turn and he left everyone in disbelief after stripping off and opening wine bottles with his buttocks.

Despite squirming during the whole performance, everyone was shocked when KSI decided to smash his golden buzzer. KSI ran onto the stage, but fell over and slid across the floor on the confetti as it rained down, taking Mr Cherry with him.

Returning back to his seat, KSI shouted: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I don’t know about you but that was the greatest thing I have ever seen.”

But viewers at home didn’t seem to agree as they labelled his decision ‘worst’ golden buzzer of all time.

Taking to social media, one fuming fan commented: “I’m sorry this show is finished #bgt.” Another said: “A Golden Buzzer? How bloody ridiculous #KSI #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.”

A third wrote: “WTF?! Why the hell did KSI give that act the golden buzzer, when he spent the entirety of it squirming uncomfortably? It’s beyond a joke.”

Another initiated: “Worst Golden Buzzer #BGT.” Meanwhile one added: “KSI HOW IS THAT GOLDEN BUZZER WORTHY???”

Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturday nights from 7pm on ITV and ITVX.
