William died peacefully at University Hospital Limerick on 17th April 2026, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his wife Bridget and daughter Siobhan. 

Deeply regretted by his daughters Cathy and Breda, son Liam, grandchildren Steph, James, Amy, Molly and Abbey, niece, nephew, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law Johnny, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Riedy’s funeral home, Newcastle West on Monday 20th April from 6pm to 7.30pm. 

Requiem Mass is on Tuesday 21st April at 11am in Templeglantine Church. Burial afterwards in Monagea cemetery.

Special thanks and appreciation to Dr Stack and his team of doctors and nurses, in particular the dialysis unit, along with his nurse and carers who called to the house.
