Married At First Sight groom Danny Hewitt has revealed his prediction about women “queuing up for him” after the reality show hasn’t lived up to expectations.
Danny and fellow MAFS star Steven Danyluk were on Sydney’s Seadeck boat on Saturday, and the British real estate agent was asked about his controversial comments where he said women would be “throwing their pantyhose” at him.
He defended the remarks as “tongue-in-cheek” but added that he hasn’t been flooded with propositions from women now that the experiment is over.
“More blokes have come up to me for photos than women. That says it all. No pantyhose have been thrown at me,” he told the Seadeck host.

His controversial comments were aired last week during the finale episode of the Channel 9 show.
Danny didn’t show up to the final reunion, but his wife, Bec Zacharia, was there and she watched unseen footage of the 34-year-old talking about life after the experiment.
He said life would be “bright” without Bec and he thought he would be hounded by ladies.
“After this there are going to be women queuing up for me. I won’t be able to walk down the street, they’ll be throwing their pantyhose at me so either way it’s gonna be alright,” he said.
In the Seadeck interview, he insisted he wasn’t looking for love right now and needed to work on himself.
He teased that he might even throw himself into a boxing camp to mend his mind.

It’s not the first time that Danny has tried to explain away some of his comments on the TV show.
Unaired footage shown on Stan’s After The Dinner Party showed Danny saying he could have found a better wife at Coles.
He also said Bec’s behaviour on the show would have been acceptable if she was a 15 out of 10, but he said she was not that attractive.
Danny posted a video late last week saying he regretted making those comments.
“I am sure most of you hate me, I don’t blame you,” he said.
“I hate myself so join the club. I wanted to jump on here and apologise for some of the comments, or all of the comments, I made on the Stan’After The Dinner Party show.
“I am so ashamed of myself.”
He specifically apologised for the way he spoke to and about Bec and fellow bride Stephanie Marshall, who was married to Tyson Gordon on the show.
However, Danny added that he had a “dry sense of humour” and it can “come across wrong” to people who don’t know him.
“But I’m not here to make excuses or blame it on a sense of humour or anything like that. I’m here to own up to my mistakes and apologise,” he said.
“I’ve probably got a lot of soul searching to do.”
He added that no matter what people say to him or about him, he is thinking worse of himself at the moment.
