Ciara Ryan, a sheep and suckler farmer and the newly appointed manager of Mid-Tip Mart, says marts are “much more than a place to buy and sell cattle”, with many people still placing real value on the tradition of attending in person.
She describes marts as “vital social hubs” in rural communities, offering people a chance to meet, chat and stay connected.
