Miss Ireland showcases Carndonagh students' marvel in New York

A sustainable dress designed and crafted by two Carndonagh Community School students has been showcased in New York.

“Pictured is Miss Ireland, Caoimhe Kenny, wearing “Apricity” — a stunning sustainable dress designed and crafted by Lily McGonigle and Niamh Donaghy in sixth year using entirely recycled materials,” the school shared.

“This one-of-a-kind Junk Kouture creation was proudly showcased at the prestigious NET Gala in New York City this week, highlighting both the students’ incredible talent and their commitment to environmental responsibility.”
