Ronan Keating has been forced to deny that he’s undergoing surgery after a friend reached out to support him in his time of need.

The singer wanted to warn his followers not to believe any strange reports they might hear about him online, and that he’s perfectly fine and healthy.

Ronan warned his fans to be especially careful not to send anyone supposedly speaking for him any money.

Speaking on Thursday, Ronan said: ‘One of my good friends reached out to say, with a broken heart symbol, ” Are you okay, mate?, I just heard the news.”

‘Someone posted on Facebook that I was going into an operation.’ Ronan revealed that rumours had been circulating for some time now, adding: ‘It’s been going around for a while.

‘I haven’t been in an operation, and I am super fit and healthy and loving life, everything is grand.’

‘If anyone reaches out to you on social media, pretending to be me or looking for money or anything like that, it’s not me, guys, unless it’s me saying to you, and I know with AI it might look like me, but you know, legitimately if it’s not through my own channel… then it’s someone else pretending to be me.

‘I’m sorry if it’s wasted your time, and thank you for your concern.’

Ronan’s revelation comes after he recently returned to Ireland for a travel series for the BBC. The series will see him touch on his feelings of grief over the loss of his brother Ciarán.

His wife Storm previously told EVOKE: ‘Our choices are different now, our priorities have shifted, and I’m really grateful in some ways that from the darkest hour, you get a different perspective on life as a whole, and it gives you strength to do things that you may not have thought that you were capable of doing.

‘I feel like, for Ro and I, we don’t live in a box. Our choices are not constricted anymore.’
