A trailblazing, retired Wexford primary school principal who has represented Ireland on the international athletics stage is reflecting this week on winning gold at the European Masters Athletics Championships in Poland.

Siobhán Doyle, a 65-year-old Kerry native, had a long and successful career teaching career which culminated in her leading Galbally NS as principal.
