A teenage motorcyclist has died following a tragic collision in Cloghan.
He was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at approximately 4:30pm this afternoon, on the R252.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
The R252 road between Ballybofey and Glenties has been closed, and will remain closed overnight as Forensic Collision Investigators carry out a technical examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses of the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 4:00pm and 5:00pm are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
