Necking It

We’re all trying to fix our flipping necks and this lil beaut I invested in myself. When used for 10 minutes daily, the CurrentBody LED Neck & Décolletage Perfector (€399, 99, currentbody.ie) targets wrinkles and improves plumpness in eight weeks. I bought mine on a recent trip to Terrie McEvoy’s gorgeous Mantra store in Kildare Village. It has three different wavelengths to target the epidermis, dermis and hypodermis, so the red wavelength boosts collagen and reduces lines, the nir wavelength firms, tightens and energises the skin, and the deep nir targets the most pronounced signs of ageing. Does it work? Absolutely, but only if you use it consistently. Do not buy, use for a week and then forget all about it! (FYI: A friend of mine uses hers on her husband’s head as well as it’s apparently great for hair health too.)

The fine powder has peach and pink pigments designed to colour-correct discolouration and darkness to awaken your eyes. If you’ve never tried an undereye setting powder, this is the one to go for – you won’t be disappointed.

Glow Forever

I am a HUGE fan of the Dior Mattifying Invisible UV Stick (€65, brownthomas.com) which combines four filters for daily high SPF 50 protection against the harmful effects of UVB and UVA rays. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and a blurring powder, it mattifies, visibly refines skin texture, reduces the appearance of pores and comes in showstopping casing.

Treat

Curly Sue My daughter found these Darlo rollers online and begged me to get them for her. Now we both use them as they are the easiest way to get that bouncy, ‘just-left-the-salon’ finish at home with minimal effort. The Darlo Bounce Midsize Collection (€55, heydarlo.com) contain 12 rollers in two sizes in a bag.

Trick

Stick with it SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and measures a sunscreen’s ability to protect your skin from the sun’s UV radiation. The thing is, your SPF is only as good as your reapplication and most of us forget that bit. The easiest trick I’ve found is to swap your handbag lipstick for an SPF stick, as they glide over make-up without ruining it, mattify shine and top up your protection in seconds. Now you’ve no excuses.
