Uisce Eireann says works are ongoing and will affect homes and businesses for most of the day

There’s a major outage in parts of Dublin and Co Kildare due to burst water mains.
Uisce Eireann said the outages are expected to cause disruption throughout the day, with works ongoing. The main areas affected include Malahide in Dublin and Celbridge, Maynooth and Leixlip in Co Kildare.
In Kildare the issue is affecting the three towns, with the works also affecting traffic. A management plan is in place along the route.
Uisce Eireann said: “Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Leixlip, Maynooth and Celbridge and surrounding areas in Co. Kildare. Works are scheduled to take place until 5pm on 27 April.
“A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works. We recommend that you allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.”
The Malahide issue has been in place all weekend, with repairs slated to finish at around 2pm today. The issue started on Saturday, April 25.
Uisce Eireann said: “Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Swords, Back Road, Malahide and surrounding areas in Co. Dublin.Works are scheduled to take place until 3pm on 25 April. We recommend that you allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.”
