Ireland must keep pace with ‘broad technological upgrade’ taking place

Ireland risks losing its place as a major hub for the global funds sector if the legal and regulatory environment can’t keep pace with rapidly developing technological shifts, the Government is being warned.
Chief executive of Irish Funds, Pat Lardner, told the Irish Independent that the sector is undergoing what he called a “broad technological upgrade” of the infrastructure used to process transactions.
