Referee announced for Limerick hurlers crucial clash with Clare

THE GAA have confirmed the referee for this Sunday’s Munster SHC clash between Clare and Limerick at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg.

The 2pm throw-in in Ennis will see Tipperary official Michael Kennedy in the middle as John Kiely’s side look to bounce back from the defeat to Cork.

Kennedy took charge of Limerick’s 2024 win over Waterford at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

It will be the Tipp man’s second Championship outing of 2026 after taking charge of the Kildare v Wexford game earlier this month.

Limerick are set to be without the injured Aaron Gillane and suspended captain Cian Lynch as they look to get their provincial campaign back on track.

Despite this, Kiely reported no new injury concerns after the defeat at SuperValu Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
