Taylor Swift’s fans crashed her website as they rushed to pre-order the latest variant of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Swifties took to social media after they overwhelmed the chart-topper’s web page to share their dismay at the site not being able to cope. Taylor shared a link on X urging fans to visit the site to place the orders writing, “A showgirl knows to save some of her best tricks for the grand finale… The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd is Your King Edition on Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer Vinyl is available to pre-order now exclusively at @Target while supplies last. PS: we’re 9 days away(!!!!!!!!!!!!).”
Fans then rushed to secure their copy, but were met with a plain screen that read, “Too many requests.” Sharing screenshots of the failure fans then commented as one wrote, “WE BROKE IT,” while a second pointed out another fault as they said,”Mother help they canceled all my orders.”

A third posted, “Why is the site not working, tearing out my hair right now for real.” A fourth social media user meanwhile pointed out the sheer volume of versions of the highly-anticipated album already available as they shared, “Only Taylor can drop 500 versions of an album, empty my wallet, make me pre-order again, and STILL have me counting down the days like it’s Christmas. Queen behavior.”

A fifth commented, “But also what am I going to do when 9 different vinyls show up at my house on October 3?” The latest release comes as Swifties were left “screaming and crying” as Taylor Swift delivered the exciting news that she will be partnering with AMC Theaters to release her secret film The Life of a Showgirl.
The movie – which has kept all aspects of concept and direction a secret – is scheduled to premiere on October 3, the same day as the pop star’s new album. The 89-minute-long film will give fans an exclusive sneak peek into the making of her forthcoming album and will be selling limited tickets for $12 each at will go on sale at 12:12 pm – which is all a reference to the project being her 12th album.
And while only a select chosen few have gotten to hear the new album, fans are over the moon that they are just two weeks away from experiencing her new album. Taylor announced the news of the Life of a Showgirl film on her Instagram as she wrote, “I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl: Oct 3 – Oct 5 only in cinemas!”

She continued, “You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single ‘The Fate of Ophelia,’ along with never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl.”
She went on to add, “Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan… Tickets are on sale now. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged.”
And after the news was revealed, Taylor fans quickly secured their tickets and took to social media to express their excitement over her special secret. On X, formerly Twitter, one fan wrote, “@taylorswift13 OMG TAYLORRRRRRRRRRRR I AM SCREAMING & CRYING RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!”
