A new Jennifer Lopez romcom coming in 2026? Count us in! Although her co-star in an upcoming Netflix release is quite the surprise.
The trailer for JLo’s new film, Office Romance, just dropped, and it looks like the ultimate girls’ night in watch with plenty of cheesy one-liners and tropes that’ll have us relaxing into the sofa.
In the movie, she plays Jackie Cruz, the CEO of an airline, who is every inch the boss b***h but who ends up falling for her lawyer, Daniel Blanchflower, who is played by none other than a Ted Lasso star.

Brett Goldstein, who portrayed Roy Kent on Ted Lasso, is playing Daniel and if you’re surprised at this turn of events, you’re not alone.
In the trailer, he’s seen arriving for work and being warned that Ms Cruz ‘doesn’t like breathing’ – not that he has to worry, as it’s clear Jackie and Daniel have a connection that’s more than boss and employee.
Their chemistry only gets stronger, and things take a more serious turn on a trip to the Dominican Republic.

Once they return to work, they try to keep things on the down low, and you guessed it, that doesn’t quite go as planned.
Fans were delighted, if not surprised, to see Brett in the trailer with Jennifer, with many saying it was the crossover they’d never seen coming.
‘Roy Kent in a rom-com with J.Lo is the crossover I never knew I needed. He’s here, he’s there, he’s… in an office romance,’ said one person.

Someone else said: ‘Office Romance with JLo and Brett Goldstein? That’s the most unexpected chemistry waiting to happen.’
And a third person wrote on X: ‘Jennifer Lopez + Brett Goldstein in a risky rom-com?? yeah this about to be messy in the best way.’

Chatting about the film, Brett told Tudum: ‘Every day I come to work to do a rom-com with Jennifer Lopez and this incredible cast, and I expect people to jump out and tell me I’m being pranked.
‘Hasn’t happened yet, so maybe this is real.’ You bet it is, Brett!
Office Romance will be out on Netflix on June 5.
