At the age of 45, Cally Beaton (who is now 57) decided it was time to try her hand at stand-up. The decision to reinvent herself came after a conversation with the comedy legend Joan Rivers, who passed away in September 2014.
Back then, Beaton was working in TV and film, but on the business side of things. She was a senior vice president at Viacom, owners of Comedy Central.
