Tipperary has two contestants vying for Miss Teen Ireland

Hannah Murphy Crowe,14 years old and from Boherlahan, is hoping she will be walking away with the title of Miss Ireland Teen Junior 2026. She joins 17 year old Tara Lonergan, who is taking part in the Senior section of the same competition.

On the May Bank holiday weekend. Hannah and Tara are two of the 20 contestants Taking part in the 2026 edition of the younger version of Miss Ireland.

“I am so thankful for the opportunity to compete in this year’s Miss Ireland Teen.

“Going into this I was so scared I wouldn’t be able to do it as someone with dyspraxia and recently diagnosed with ADHD, which effects my social anxiety and everyday activities” said Hannah, “but since my journey has started, I have noticed i have started doing things which are outside of my comfort zone”.

“The reason I decided to enter was because I wanted to prove to myself and to others that I am capable of doing new things and not being the quiet girl who’s afraid to put herself forward.

“I also want this to be a way to boost my confidence and if I’m being honest I have notice a difference in the last few weeks.

“I would love to walk away with the crown but even if I don’t get the crown I’m so proud of myself for trying something new.

“Also best of luck to Tara Lonergan who is hoping to be the next Miss Ireland Teen Senior winner; it is unreal to have two girls from Tipperary to doing this”.

The overall final will be beld on May 4 in The Red Cow Inn, Dublin.
