The location of the €8.7 million jackpot win has been revealed by the National Lottery, as Ireland has welcomed its newest millionaire this Bank Holiday weekend.
The staggering jackpot of €8,726,418 was won in Saturday’s night draw.
The winning numbers for Saturday’s Lotto draw, May 2, were 01, 07, 27, 28, 34, 42 and the bonus was 26.
The National Lottery has now revealed that the jackpot was won by a lucky player in Dublin.
The player, who matched all six number and the bonus in the main Lotto draw, has become the second Lotto jackpot winner this year.
The location of the winning shop is set to be announced on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery, Sarah Orr, said: “What a weekend it’s been for National Lottery players all over the country.
“A Lotto player in Dublin has officially become Ireland’s newest millionaire after winning Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot worth an impressive €8,726,418.
“We are encouraging all of our players in the capital to carefully check their tickets today as one player now holds the title of second Lotto jackpot winner of 2026.”
The winner who bagged the prize has been advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.
They should contact the lottery’s Prize Claims team and arrangements will be made for them to visit the headquarters.
