BREAKING: Mayo learn Round One opponent as All-Ireland race begins

Mayo have learned their Round One fate after today’s draw for the All-Ireland Championships.

Going into the Monday afternoon draw, Mayo could have faced any of the eight provincial finalists from Ulster, Leinster, Munster, and Connacht.

Andy Moran’s troops already knew of the possibility of facing Galway, Roscommon, Kerry, or Cork. Following the weekend’s semi-final drama, Monaghan, Armagh, Dublin, and Westmeath joined the Pot One party.

With all eyes on GAA+ for the draw, there was plenty of anticipation in all 16 counties.

The draw has pitted Mayo against Monaghan in a Round One showdown.

The game against the Ulster finalists will take place on the weekend of May May 30/31.

The full details of the fixture, including the date, time, venue, and ticketing, will be announced in due course.

It is expected that the game will take place in Saint Tiernach’s Park, Clones.
