What a game this will be. Arsenal beat Fulham 3-0 at the weekend and they’re clear at the top of the Premier League now so they’ll be flying. Having Myles Lewis-Skelly in midfield against Fulham gave them energy that they needed.
You need a whole squad to win a league title, you need players coming in late on in the season and producing performances. They looked a different team in the middle of the park with that tweak.
On the flip side they rested Martin Zubimendi as well so he’ll be ready for this Atletico Madrid game. Martin Odegaard is a doubt but I think that might play into Arsenal’s hands because you can go with Declan Rice in there with Zubimendi and Eberechi Eze. That’s how I’d approach this game.
Atletico had a good 2-0 win at Valencia on the weekend. Simeone said they are convinced that they can reach the final. I’m not sure.
I fancy Arsenal to win this game with both teams to score as well. I’m backing Arsenal 3-1. You’ve got to have Viktor Gyokeres to score, he looked really lively in the first leg in Madrid.
I can see Gabriel Martinelli playing off the left and he’s been brilliant in this competition. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Martinelli have 2+ shots for a little bit more juice.
From Atletico’s point of view, have a look at Koke to commit 2+ fouls. He’s always right in the mix and this should be a hot game which he’ll contribute to no doubt.
