While Ireland has been enjoying some milder weather recently, there has been some gloomy, cloudy days recently.
However, these may be replaced with a return of the sunshine, as this weekend is due to be bright and sunny, with highs of 15 degrees. With the clouds clearing away though, this may lead to a risk of some frosty overnight conditions.
Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather shared a new forecast, telling his followers that Saturday would be a “good sunny day for most and dry for all”, but that Friday and Sunday would both see rain.
He wrote: “Friday will see a lot of cloud and some scattered showers but many areas staying dry. Saturday will be a good sunny day for most and dry for all. Sunday will see best of sunny spells in Southeast with only small chance of a shower.”
In another post, he shared a prediction of some frosty conditions.
“Risk of frost Saturday night, gardeners take note. Good sunny spells expected Sunday also with a risk of frost Sunday night too!” he said.

Saturday
Most areas will be dry tomorrow with sunny spells, although cloudier conditions in southern parts may lead to a little patchy rain near the southwest coast. It will be a breezy day with a moderate to fresh northerly wind and highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees. Saturday night will stay mainly dry with clear spells, though cloud may linger for a time in the far south. It will feel rather chilly as lowest temperatures drop to between 3 and 7 degrees in moderate northerly winds.
Sunday
There will be plenty of dry weather with sunny spells, though cloud will increase in the north through the day with the possibility of isolated showers. Highest temperatures will reach 10 to 14 degrees, feeling coolest in the north, in a moderate northerly breeze. On Sunday night, cloud and light showers will move into northern parts while it remains dry elsewhere with clear spells. Lowest temperatures will range from 3 to 8 degrees in light north to northwest winds.
Monday
The country will see a good deal of cloud mixed with some bright or sunny intervals as light showers track southwards. Highest temperatures will be between 12 and 14 degrees in light to moderate north to northwesterly winds.
Tuesday
This day will bring some patchy light rain or drizzle, especially to parts of the north and northeast. It will become mainly dry in the afternoon with better sunny spells developing. Winds will be a moderate west with highs of 12 to 15 degrees.
