Paddy’s tipster predicts a wild El Clasico on Sunday as Barcelona close in on the La Liga title!

The La Liga title race should be decided on Sunday night as Real Madrid head to Barcelona for the final El Clasico of 2025/26. The Catalans only need two points from their final four games of the league campaign to retain their crown and victory here seals that defence in the faces of their fiercest rivals.

Real Madrid are in full soap opera mode right now, amid rumours of multiple training ground bust-ups, and they are on course for a second consecutive season without a trophy for the first time since 2006.

Ahead of a huge night in Barcelona, PP News tipster Feargal Brennan has put together four selections for a Bet Builder So, let’s get to his Barcelona v Real Madrid betting tips.

Barcelona to win & both teams to score: Yes

After winning a domestic treble last season, Barcelona will have to settle for two trophies in 2025/26, after losing out to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey and Champions League. However, that frustration is nothing compared to what’s happening in Madrid, as Alvaro Arbeloa faces a summer exit.

Jose Mourinho is the rumoured favourite to make a box office return to the Bernabeu with the veteran boss ready to shake things up. Reports of a row between Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe remain unconfirmed but captain Fede Valverde did reveal a training dispute with Aurelien Tchouameni.

Barca have not lost a home league game all season, winning all 17, and they’ll be geared to up make it 18 on Sunday and lift the trophy as a bonus. A freefalling Real Madrid have only won one of their last four away clashes in all competitions, but I expect them to nab a goal or two.

Only one of the last nine El Clasicos over league and cup action has not featured a goal at both ends, so strap yourselves in for a thriller on Sunday night.

Robert Lewandowski to score

With Lamine Yamal ruled out until the World Cup, and Raphinha not 100% fit, Flick may look to his old gun slinger Robert Lewandowski for inspiration.

Raphinha netted five in four meetings with Real Madrid last season, but his ongoing fitness issues are likely to mean a start on the bench, with Lewandowski fighting to lead the attack in what could be his last El Clasico.

The Poland international is out of contract in June – after bagging a whopping 119 goals in 189 games since joining from Bayern Munich in 2022 – and he has four goals in his last three outings against Los Blancos. Make sure to keep an eye on the team news – as Flick has rotated between him and Ferran Torres this season – but you can’t back against Lewandowski if he gets a sniff of a goal.

Vinicius Junior 2+ shots on target

Vinicius Junior has eight career goals against Barca, and despite Real Madrid’s struggles, he’s still managed to score over 20 goals in all competitions for the fifth season running. With Kylian Mbappe missing the last few games through injury – and the Frenchman is a doubt for this tie – Vini Jr has stepped up with an eye-catching four goals in his last three games.

The only thing steering me away from backing him to score is the fact he’s never scored in the league at Barca. He registered four shots on target in Real Madrid’s Super Cup final loss to Barca in January and this bet has landed in each of his last four league games.

Vinicius Junior 5+ foul involvements

Vini always plays a key role in this and he’s an absolute foul magnet. With 78 fouls won so far this season, he’s the second-most fouled player in La Liga.

This bet of five involvements has landed in four of his last five games and the average when he faces Barcelona goes up even further. In both league games against them last season he was No.1 for foul involvements, including 10 in Madrid – and almost a year to the day – he registered six in Catalonia.
