A man who died at a secondary school for girls in Bray, County Wicklow, on Thursday, May 7, has been named locally.
Stephen Hind, a father who was in his 40s, was discovered unresponsive on the premises of Loreto Secondary School on Vevay Road. Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly after 8am, and Mr Hind was pronounced dead a short time later.
A message to parents had been sent by the school on Thursday morning, confirming there had been “an incident involving a member of the public on school grounds”. It is understood the late Mr Hind was discovered in a laneway at the back of the school, which is used as a shortcut between the school and the east part of Bray.
Mr Hind was the son of Eileen and the late Andrew, dad to Caoimhe and brother of Anthony, Audrey, Robert, Kenneth, Jim and Mark. He will be sadly missed by his aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His remains will repose in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Monday, May 11, from 7pm-8.30pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at 11am in the funeral home.
