Dublin Airport north runway
Emergency services rushed to help a flight landing into Dublin Airport earlier this evening.
Flight UPS207/5X207 had an emergency arrival on the airport’s north runway due to a landing gear issue. The flight made two go arounds before landing into the airport after reporting an issue while it was over the Irish Sea.
It had originated from Louisville and was scheduled to land into Dublin just before 6pm but it was delayed due to the landing gear problem. Emergency services were waiting as it landed at 6.45pm and it arrived safely.

But due to the issue, and the need to remove the aircraft from the path, flight operations were removed from the north runway this evening. As a result, all flights were taking off and landing on the south runway on Wednesday evening with the airport operating as normal.
In a statement on social media, Dublin Airport said: “All flights at Dublin Airport are taking off and landing as normal this evening, using our South Runway only, as our airfield operations teams assist an aircraft on the North Runway. Passengers due to fly this evening should make their way to the airport as normal.”
In a statement, UPS told Dublin Live: “Our flight crew landed safely and without incident. Out of an abundance of caution, the aircraft was inspected before taxiing. Any necessary maintenance will be completed before the aircraft is returned to service.”
