US-based New Fortress Energy (NFE) has cited opposition from environmental campaigners over the Shannon LNG plant as one of the reasons for its financial difficulties.
Last week, a London High Court judge gave the green light for the LNG operator’s creditors, owed $6.5bn, to convene meetings to vote on two interlinked restructuring plans.
