Fresh twist in bitter row that has split family behind €400m empire

The family row that has rocked one of Ireland’s major hotel chains has taken a fresh twist, with a new lawsuit alleging lawyers and financial advisers acting for hotelier Noel O’Callaghan were covertly recorded by his son.
Mr O’Callaghan (76), founder of the O’Callaghan Collection, has been involved in a bitter legal conflict with sons Paul (40) and Charles (37), whom he claims froze him out after he transferred a business empire worth €400m to them.
