Woman, 30s, requires medical attention after car attacked in Limerick

A WOMAN required medical attention after a car was attacked in broad daylight in a city housing estate, Limerick Live has learned.

The shocking incident occurred in Southill last Sunday. There are unconfirmed reports that the vehicle’s windows were smashed by a number of perpetrators while the woman was inside or beside the vehicle.

Following a query from Limerick Live, a garda spokesperson confirmed that officers received a report of “an incident of criminal damage of a car that occurred in the Carew Park area of Limerick on Sunday, May 10”.

It is understood that a woman, aged in her 30s, received medical attention following the criminal actions of the perpetrators. The seriousness of her injuries or the background to the incident is not known at this time.

“Investigations are ongoing,” said a garda spokesperson.
