Over 5 million viewers tuned into Rai 1 last night to watch the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 live from Vienna, Austria.
Rai 1 recorded an average audience of 5,033,000 viewers and an audience share of 36% for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The number of viewers for this year’s final is up by 277,000 compared to the 2025 final, while the audience share is up 2.1 percentage points compared to last year.

Semi-Final One – 1,856,000 viewers – 10.1%
Semi-Final Two – 1,286,000 viewers – 6.9%
Grand Final – 5,033,000 viewers – 36%
Sal Da Vinci represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with “Per sempre si”. Italy came 5th in the final scoring 281 points, including 12 points from the juries in Albania and Azerbaijan and 12 points from the public in Albania and Malta.

Italy returned to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 having last participated in the contest in 1997. The country has withdrawn from the contest on a number of occasions in the past. Italy has won the contest three times, the first time being in 1964 and the latest being in 2021. Since their return in 2011, Italy has finished in the top 10 on twelve occasions.
