Liz Kavanagh sadly passed away on Sunday following her courageous battle with colon cancer.
The Galway woman was first informed she had cancer in October 2024. She regularly shared videos of her journey with her 30,000 followers on Instagram.
She had recently just tied the knot, two months ago, in March, with Kieran O’Malley. They shared a lovely and intimate ceremony, held shortly after she was transferred into Galway hospice care.
Kiernan confirmed the sad news on Instagram and shared a heartfelt tribute to his wife.

“My incredibly beautiful, brave, resilient, funny, caring wife had joined the other angels in heaven. Liz you were the best thing that happened in my life, our time together was so special from our first date.
“I know you’ll be with me in spirit from now on. Thank you for being the most special person I’ve ever met.
“A huge thanks to the remarkable staff of @galwayhospice who were amazing from the second she arrived until her last breath.”
