With the Premier League season now finished, a number of clubs are set to lose some major figures in the dressing room. Liverpool fall into that bracket with the departure of both Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, while Merseyside rivals Everton will be without Seamus Coleman moving forward.

The Donegal man made his final appearance for the club this afternoon, coming on in the closing stages of their 1-0 loss at Spurs. The defender has been offered a coaching role at Everton, but it is expected that he will continue his playing career elsewhere.

Tributes have been pouring in for Seamus Coleman since it was announced that he will leave the club, including from one of his old rivals.

Andy Robertson pays tribute to Seamus Coleman

Andy Roberton’s time at Liverpool came to an end on Sunday, with the Scot leaving Anfield this summer after his contract expires. It remains to be seen where he will end up, although a move to Spurs has been mooted.

The 32-year old spoke to Sky Sports after his side’s 1-1 draw with Brentford, summing up what the occasion meant to him. He also took some time to pay tribute to Pep Guardiola and Seamus Coleman, departing figures from two of Liverpool’s biggest rivals.

For me there is two other people leaving clubs today that are pretty important.

Pep Guardiola pushed us to completely new limits, I think both of us would agree with that. We should have won more Premier Leagues if it wasn’t for that man. What a servant to Manchester City and I wish him all the best.

And finally Seamus Coleman. I think when I was growing up he was one of the Premier League fullbacks that was at a really high level. He was certainly a better bargain than me at £60,000.

He’s leaving Everton and he’s been a fantastic servant for that football club. I wish him all the best as well.

A touch of class.

Robertson’s tribute to Seamus Coleman did not go unnoticed among Liverpool and Everton supporters.

Andy Robertson is a class act. Takes time in his interview with Sky Sports to pay tribute to rivals Pep Guardiola and Seamus Coleman, on such an emotional day for him.

Robbo with a shoutout to Pep Guardiola and Seamus Coleman. Class act and absolutely the type of character you need at the club.

You’ll never ever find a footballer with more class than Andy Robertson. Wonderful words about Pep Guardiola and Seamus Coleman.

Seamus Coleman had an eventful day in his final Everton game, including before he came on as a substitute.

The Irishman would clash with Spurs sub goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario on the sideline, even approaching the home dugout to share a few choice words with the Italian.

Exactly the type of passion you would expect from Seamus Coleman despite it being his final game for the club.

Everton will certainly be losing quite the leader when he moves on this summer.
