On the back of their All-Ireland triumph in 2025, Tipperary have to be massively disappointed to perform so poorly in Munster this season.
Liam Cahill’s side failed to win any of their four round robin fixtures, with a draw against Waterford their only positive result. They were eliminated from contention with one fixture still to play.
Tipperary would go on to be comfortably beaten by Limerick on Sunday, ending what was a hugely disappointing championship campaign.

Tipperary Podcast Responsds To Liam Cahill Comments

Considering the expectations in Tipperary, it is no surprise to hear that the team has received some criticism for their performances this season.
That is something that has irked Liam Cahill. Speaking after the loss to Limerick, he called out what he felt was unfair coverage of his team from some within the county.
We all have to be really mindful that these players are amateur players.
They’re getting a fair bit of criticism by a lot of platforms, especially nameless ones which are easy to hide behind.
Even some nameless platforms that use the Tipperary logo and use titles like ‘Premier’ this and ‘Tipperary’ that. Really, they’re not Tipperary people. They’re a joke, actually.
I’m really disappointed that our so-called own would revert to that kind of scrutiny of players that put their hand up to play for Tipperary.
It just creates a narrative and creates that extra little bit of pressure on us all.
I’d really love to know these people behind these faceless accounts. Have they child welfare courses done? Garda vetting done? Are they training under-10s and under-8s in their own clubs? Are they even club members? They’re probably not.
It seems that one particular outlet has taken issue with those comments.
The Premier View, which is a GAA podcast based in Tipperary, suggested that Cahill and the county board have asked them to remove some of their content in recent times.
If that’s aimed at us,Liam

If that’s aimed at us Liam.
Both you and County Board officers have rang and messaged us in relation to stuff that’s been posted and wanted taken down.
Whether that was team news that we came out with too soon, match tactics that we worked out ourselves and you didn’t then want disclosed or comments posted on any of our socials by members of the public.
Which we have always complied with.
A strong response.
It remains to be seen whether Tipperary will be able to quickly bounce back from this disappointing campaign, although a rebuild could be needed with some key contributors coming towards the end of their inter-county careers.
