Troy Parrott has been strongly linked with a €25million move to Serie A giants AC Milan.

AC Milan’s decision to embark on a major restructuring of their football operations after their failure to qualify for Champions League football could have implications on one Ireland star.
The Serie A giants have made the decision to get rid of not only manager Massimiliano Allegri, but of several executives too.
Milan’s 2-1 defeat to Cagliari on Sunday was their third defeat in their final four league games, and it saw them finish fifth in the table, with Como sneaking into fourth.
It’s been a miserable finish to the campaign for the San Siro giants. In the 10 games since their derby win over Inter, they picked up just 10 points.
Allegri has paid for that with his job, while also out the door are CEO Giorgio Furlani, Sporting Director Igli Tare and Technical Director Geoffrey Moncada.
All would have been involved in drawing up transfer targets for the summer – and it has been widely reported in Italy that Ireland striker Troy Parrott was high on their list.

He scored 31 goals in all competitions for AZ Alkmaar, attracting interest not just from Milan but from a host of clubs in the Bundesliga, La Liga and the Premier League.
A statement issued by the Serie A side slammed an “unequivocal failure” regarding the club’s Champions League fate.
“The final stretch was completely inconsistent with the performance up to that point, with last night’s disappointing loss in the final game turning the season into an unequivocal failure,” it read.
Milan had been in title contention for much of the campaign, before their late collapse.
The statement concluded: “Further announcements regarding the next appointments will be made in due course – with the goal to be ready and well prepared for the next season.”
