It’s been the talk of WhatsApp chats around the country in recent weeks, and now Joanne McNally and Vogue Williams have had their say on the situation with Katie Price’s ‘missing’ husband, Lee Andrews.

Lee, who married Katie in Dubai in January after a whirlwind ten-day romance, hadn’t been in touch with his wife in two weeks, prompting her to report him as missing. Then, on Wednesday, it emerged that he’d called Katie, saying he was in prison.

Mystery solved then, but that hasn’t stopped the chatter around the story, especially as conspiracy theories are running riot (no thanks to Katie herself filming videos and starring in one with newly-single Olivia Attwood where they joke about ‘missing husbands’.)

Joanne and Vogue discussed the story, with Joanne dubbing it the ‘biggest since Wagatha Christie’, on their podcast a couple of times during the week, leaving many in stitches with their take on the situation.

Saying what many of us were thinking, Joanne started one chat, recorded before Lee was located, by saying the alarm bells should have been ringing as soon as the words ‘expat living in Dubai trying to get you to invest in his crypto company’ were heard.

Getting to what has been going on with the whole is he/isn’t he missing debacle, Joanne said: ‘Women assemble, everyone’s out looking for him, poor Katie, God love her.

’She’s saying that he’s been kidnapped, she’s ringing him in as a missing person, and now five days in she’s announced that she has to give up the search and she’s moving on with her life.’

Getting a laugh from Vogue, and plenty from listeners as well, Joanne continued: ‘FIVE DAYS! I’ve looked for vapes in the flat longer than five days, so obviously she knows full well.’

Vogue then replied: ‘Am I the most heartless person in the world, that I just don’t have any sympathy? My sympathy taps have run dry… the whole thing just reeks of b*****it.’

Fast forward a few days to Lee being found, and Joanne and Vogue shared a few more words on the matter, with Vogue still skeptical towards it all and Joanne putting her PR background to good use.

Vogue said: ‘I’d say that he is absolutely thrilled with the amount of press coverage he’s getting because you could work in TV for 20 years in the UK and not as many people would know you as how many people know Lee Andrews now because he has supposedly been kidnapped.’

Joanne then chatted about whether “all press is good press,” saying she thinks Lee’s reputation will be ‘borderline destroyed whenever he decides to come out of hiding’.

Vogue replied: ‘Not to be a bitch… I don’t think his reputation was that stellar [before] that what he’s doing now is kind of damaging it, you know what I mean?’

Vogue also suggested that the whole situation could be less dramatic than what people are making it out to be and that Katie is just being ghosted.

‘It’s happened to all of us, and this might be her first ghosting, and she’s like, “oh my God, he’s been kidnapped”, but it’s like, no, this is called ghosting. It’s not actually being kidnapped.’

Although Vogue isn’t sympathetic towards Katie, she did give kudos where kudos is due and praised her for getting on with the hustle, sharing her CBD ads and new song while looking for Lee.

‘What I will say about Katie Price is last week I was like, “God, what a load of s**t, I’m so sick of this”, but when she released the CBD oil, and then the single, I thought, you know what, fair f***ing play to you,’ Vogue said.

Ah, what a month it’s been with this wild story. Consider us locked in for the next twist when it comes!
