A fortnight on from their Ulster final defeat to Armagh, Monaghan aim to bounce back when they host Mayo in an intriguing first round clash.
The Farney brought the Orchard County to extra-time and will have regrets after squandering chances in the final 10 minutes of normal time.
They cannot afford to dwell too much on the past as Andy Moran has plenty of knowledge of Monaghan having coached them in 2025 during Gabriel Bannigan’s first year in charge.
Mayo had some soul searching to do themselves after a lacklustre second half display against Roscommon in the Connacht SFC semi-final.
