Carlow ran out 8 points winners in Cullen Park

Defeat for Limerick in their Round 1 opener in the All Ireland Ladies Junior Football Championship.

Carlow running out 3-12 to 2-7 winners in Cullen Park.

Limerick off to an ideal start with an Eadaoin Crowe goal in the 1st minute.

They led 1-2 to 0-1 in the opening stages before two goals from the home side saw Carlow lead 2-3 to 1-3.

Limerick trailed 2-5 to 1-4 at half time.

Carlow extended their lead to 10 points before a second goal from Limerick’s Caoimhe McNamara left it 3-9 to 2-5.

Limerick hit two more scores as Carlow ran out winners with 8 points to spare.
