The Cork footballers have learned their next destination following Tuesday morning’s draw on RTÉ Radio 1.
They’re set to travel to Ballybofey to face Donegal in the All-Ireland SFC Round 2A game on the weekend after next.
For the Rebels, it’s a long trip north, and the stakes are clear: the winner heads straight to the All-Ireland quarter-final, while the loser will have a second chance the following week in Round 3. It’s the toughest draw the Rebels could have got.

It’s a familiar matchup. Cork and Donegal last met in the championship two years ago at Páirc Uí Rinn, where Cork emerged victorious.
The last time Cork traveled to Ballybofey was in 2024, marking Jimmy McGuinness’s first game back in charge of Donegal as the Ulster side won well.
Meanwhile, the Cork minor footballers’ venue for their Electric Ireland All-Ireland quarter-final against Meath this Saturday has been confirmed for FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles with throw-in at 2pm.
