It’s official – the most popular baby girl names have been confirmed.
Experts at Little Ones London examined the latest data from the 2025 Central Statistics Office (CSO) of the unique, summer-inspired baby girl names in Ireland.
Coming in the top spot for the number one summer-inspired baby girl’s name is the Irish name Fíadh.
While to some quite a hard name to pronounce, data revealed that there were a total of 352 girls given the name in 2025. The Irish word Fíadh means “wild” or “untamed” and is pronounced Fee-a.
It first arrived in the baby name charts in Ireland in the mid-90s.
Róisín conquered second place as the most popular summer-inspired baby girl name in Ireland today, with 135 baby girls given the name in 2025.
Róisín means “Little Rose” in Irish; the name is closely associated with one of summer’s most iconic flowers.
Its floral roots help give the traditional Irish name a timeless summer appeal.
Caoimhe came close to Róisín but was slightly behind, securing third place. 130 baby girls were given the name in 2025.
It is derived from the Irish word caomh, meaning “gentle”, “beautiful” or “precious”.
The name reflects qualities often associated with the warmth, beauty and relaxed atmosphere of summer.
Aoife is the fourth most popular summer-inspired baby girl name in Ireland today. 121 baby girls were given the name in 2025.
In Irish mythology, Aoife is associated with beauty and radiance, helping connect the name to brightness, sunshine and the lighter days of summer.
Daisy is the fifth most popular summer-inspired baby girl name in Ireland today, with 105 baby girls given the name in 2025.
Taken directly from the flower of the same name, Daisy is strongly associated with sunshine, wildflower meadows, gardens and long summer days outdoors.
