Two teenagers arrested after stealing hearse from funeral home in Ardee

Gardaí say they encountered the vehicle being driven in a dangerous manner in Dunleer, last night at approximately 2:45am.

Two male juveniles, in their teens, have been arrested after they broke into Tenanty’s Funeral Home in Ardee and took a hearse.

Gardaí say they encountered the vehicle being driven in a dangerous manner in Dunleer, last night at approximately 2:45am.

One male juvenile has since been released without charge pending a referral to the Garda National Youth Diversion Bureau.

The other has been kept at a garda station in Co Louth.

Investigations are ongoing.
