Choirs from across the world took part in the annual event.
The 2026 Limerick Sings International Choral Festival wraps up today, Sunday, June 7th, following a weekend of performances, workshops, and community events across the city.
The festival, which aims to promote choral singing and support mental well-being through music, welcomed choirs of all traditions from Ireland, Europe, and the United States.
The multi-day event featured a diverse lineup of local and international talent, kicking off with a ‘Young Voices’ youth choir concert in late May and finishing up with a busy weekend of choral events.
The festival welcomed acclaimed UK vocal ensemble APOLLO5 and celebrated soprano and past Eurovision winner Eimear Quinn to Limerick Sings for the first time.
APOLLO5 hosted interactive vocal workshops and performed a 15th-anniversary concert at the University Concert Hall.
On Saturday night, the Redemptorist Church hosted a showcase featuring a diverse program of sacred, traditional, and folk music.
Performing groups included Choirfire (Colorado, USA), Cór Cois Abhann (Cork), Killaloe Male Voice Choir (Clare), Limerick Chamber Choir, and Voices of Limerick.
Supported by RTÉ Lyric FM presenters including Shirley Keane, Liz Nolan, and Lorcan Murray, the annual festival successfully brought together hundreds of singers, strengthening Limerick’s reputation as a prime spot for choral singers.
