Gerry lived for many years in Monaghan Town and Cobh, Co. Cork through his work in the Customs Service.
Gerry passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on the 11th of June 2026.
Beloved husband of Peggy (née O’Shea) and loving father of his sons Diarmaid (partner Melanie) and Gearoíd (partner Rosalind) and his daughters Niamh and Helen (partner Liam). Sadly missed by his adored grandchildren Aoibhín, Oisín, Aidan and grandson-by-choice Sean, brother in-law Denis O’Shea, sister-in-law Julianne Crowley, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Gerry is pre-deceased by his parents Dermot and Lena

Reposing at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Killarney this Sunday evening the 14th of June from 7:15pm to 8:30pm followed by removal to St. Mary’s Cathedral. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday morning at 12 noon followed by cremation at 4:00pm in the Island Crematorium, Cork.
