Road closures have been finalised in advance of the Donegal International Rally this weekend.

Some routes in Letterkenny and Derrybeg will be closed at times to facilitate events and emergency service vehicles.

On Thursday 18th June, the Port Road in Letterkenny will be closed from 4.15pm – 9pm for the ceremonial start of the rally.

The Cullion Road in Letterkenny will be closed at various times throughout the weekend to allow for an emergency vehicle access route:

Friday 19th of June 2026, 14:00 to 02:00 on Saturday 20th of June 2026
Saturday 20th of June 2026, 10:00 to 02:00 on Sunday 21st of June 2026
Sunday 21st of June 2026, 10:00 to 22:00 on Sunday 21st of June 2026

The diversion route will be via the L1114/2 ( Leck Road). The N13/8 (Letterkenny Stranorlar Road) and the N56/82 ( Four Lane Road).

On Friday 19th June 2026, the Ard na gCeapairí road in Derrybeg, Gweedore will be closed to serve as a service access route from 10am – 4pm.

Friday 19th June sees the rally head west with two runs each through An Sloitheán (Stages 1 & 4), Sean Bhaile (Stages 2 & 5) and Doire Uí Fhríl (Stages 3 & 6) around Kildarragh and Carrownamaddy.

Saturday 20th June moves east with double runs through Knockalla (Stages 7 & 9) and Drumhallagh (Stages 8 & 10) in the Fanad Peninsula during the morning and early afternoon, before the action shifts south for Trentagh (Stages 11 & 13) and Gartan (Stages 12 & 14) near Letterkenny later in the day.

Sunday 21st June features a trio of classic tests, with crews tackling Lough Keel (Stages 15 & 18) near Lough Salt, Atlantic Drive (Stages 16 & 19) around Downings and Rosguill, and Cionn Fhánada (Stages 17 & 20).
