Jackpot is at €25m tonight

There’s €25 million up for grabs on tonight’s Euromillions draw, one year after a Cork city shop sold Ireland’s biggest ever jackpot winning ticket.
Clifford’s Centra on Shandon Street, on the Northside of Cork City, hit the international headlines when one lucky Cork family claimed €250 million in June 2025. Clifford’s has been very busy again over the past few days as tonight’s Euromillions jackpot soars towards €25m, with punters streaming in, in the hopes that lightning could strike twice.
That Cork city family who won last June have managed to remain anonymous in the 12 months since, and are believed to be living a relatively unchanged and quiet life, still based in Cork, but doing a bit more travelling than they had been before their life-altering win. In June of last year, the huge win led to major speculation around Leeside the rumours were flying.
At the time, the winning family syndicate described the experience as “surreal”, with one member joking they had once dreamed of owning a Rolex watch but never imagined it would be within reach. Another member said some things wouldn’t change after the record-breaking win, and that they’d continue to enjoy a favourite ham and cheese sandwich for lunch.
The family plans to support their relatives, including children, grandchildren, close friends, and several charities that are close to their hearts.
Reflecting on the past year, shop owner Ted Clifford said: “Looking back a year later, it still feels surreal that such a huge win came through our doors. It gave everyone here a real lift, and customers still talk about it to this day. We hope the winner is enjoying every moment and that it’s brought them great joy. Being part of milestones like that is what makes our long history on Shandon Street so special, and we couldn’t be prouder. We are planning to celebrate the win in-store today – moments like this have to be marked!”
Staff were shocked to have sold the winning ticket, but even though they didn’t see any of the money themselves, still had reason to celebrate after getting a lovely 25k bonus from Lotto HQ.

The record-breaking win marked a major milestone for the National Lottery, representing Ireland’s 18th EuroMillions jackpot win since the game began in 2004.
