The sister of Love Island star Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has told of her parents awkwardness at watching him kissing on camera.
The Galway native is currently coupled up with Lola in the villa and the bookies are already backing the pair to win the series.
Their romance appears to be blossoming each day – but Sean’s sister Katie admitted she and her parents have to ‘block’ her eyes when it comes to watching her brother kissing on screen.

Katie said: ‘I suppose it’s Love Island. They’re going to be kissing, or whatever. So, I suppose at the start they (our parents) were kind of blocking their eyes.
‘I’m sometimes blocking my eyes because it gets a bit too intense, but I suppose being in bed, like that’s the only time they get one on one together, and that’s what I keep telling my parents, but you know, I don’t think that bit will ever get easier.’
Speaking to host Oliver Callan on his RTE Radio 1 show on Thursday, Katie admitted she has never seen her big brother so smitten before with a girl.

She said: ‘I’ve never seen him like this before, really, never. He seems to be obsessed with her, like he just wants to be with her all the time, and she seems the exact same way, which is really nice to see.’
Lola already admitted on the show that she would be happy to move to Ireland after the show to continue their relationship – and Katie gave the 28-year-old detective the seal of approval.
‘I’d be happy with that. I don’t want him to move,’ she said laughing.
Katie said she already ‘loves’ Lola and looks forward to meeting her and showing her around Galway.
‘I love her, she’s gorgeous, she’s so nice. I hope it works out, because there’s a long way to go.’
