Former Kerry footballer Tomás Ó Sé says he can’t see anything other than a successful All-Ireland defence for the Kingdom after they powered into the last eight in some style.
Jack O’Connor’s men have bounced back from their sobering defeat at the hands of Donegal in Killarney by dismantling Kildare and Armagh in successive outings to take their place in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
While the comprehensive nature of the victory over the struggling Lilywhites was well flagged, many felt the arrival of 2024 champions Armagh on Kerry soil would be a stern examination for the hosts.
Led by talisman David Clifford however, who finished the game with 1-10, Kerry brushed aside Kieran McGeeney’s side with a clinical attacking display.
They go into Monday morning’s draw – live on RTÉ Radio 1 during Morning Ireland – firmly in the driving seat to retain Sam Maguire and speaking on The Sunday Game, five-time All-Ireland winner Ó Sé says on current form he can’t see any side denying his county men going back-to-back.

“I think it’s Kerry’s to lose,” he told viewers. “I don’t see any team right now that they would fear.
“There is a huge work-rate and they seem to be coming at the right time
“They have four All-Stars to come in and I think they have to prove themselves. Shane Ryan, Seán O’Shea, Gavin White and Tom O’Sullivan, who are they going to replace?
“It’s very hard to take out what you have there. Right now, in terms of kickouts, attack and defence, I don’t see a team that are at their level right now.”
