Dennehy (Castlejane, Glanmire and formerly Nicholas Well House, Cattle Market St, Cork and late of Dennehy Builders Cork Ltd.), on June 23rd 2026, unexpectedly but peacefully in the presence of his loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff at The Mercy University Hospital; Denis, treasured husband of the late Maire (née Stout), much loved father of John, Eileen (Ryan), Liam, Denis, Kieran, Owen, Noelle (Thornhill) and Mark, beloved son of the late John (Jack) and Ellen and dearest brother of the late Dan, Ted, Oliver (Ollie) and Mary (O’ Leary). Sadly missed by his heartbroken sons, daughters, grandchildren Shane, Cian, Conor, Cathal, Amy, Colm, Victoria, Rose, Jack and Abi, great-grandchildren Conor and Tadgh, brothers John and Joe, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, especially those in The Cathedral Bowls Club and St. Michael’s Outdoor Bowls Club.
Visitation at O’ Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Friday June 26th from 6.00pm to 7.00pm, with prayers at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass in The North Cathedral on Saturday June 27th at 10.00am. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
