Temperatures have climbed into the high twenties and low thirties in parts of the country today, as people across Ireland made the most of the warm summer weather.

Ireland’s highest-ever recorded temperature stands at 33.3 degrees Celsius, set at Kilkenny Castle in 1887.

Earlier today, Midwest Radio’s Scott Stephens was in Salthill, County Galway, where he spoke to some of those enjoying the sunshine.
