The draw for the All-Ireland semi-finals has been confirmed, with two huge ties set to take place at Croke Park next month.
We were treated to a thrilling weekend of action over the last couple of days, with four brilliant quarter-finals taking place at GAA HQ.
Mayo would overcome Cork to reach the last four on Saturday, followed by Kerry’s thrilling victory over Tyrone. Louth would then book their first semi-final berth since 1957 with a win over Monaghan on Sunday, before Dublin produced a big performance to beat Galway soon after.
The draw for the semi-final has now been confirmed, with the fixtures following some rules previously set out by the GAA for that stage of the competition.

The GAA wanted to avoid repeat pairings from earlier in this year’s championship during the semi-finals stage.
As a result, Louth and Dublin could not be paired due to having already played each other in this season’s competition. The result of this would be that Kerry and Mayo would be kept on separate sides of the draw.

Kerry will now be viewed as strong favourites to win this year’s championship, although they will not have an easy task when they take on a resurgent Dublin side in this fixture.
As for the other semi-final, Mayo will be hoping to use the momentum they have built over the last number of weeks to overcome Louth.

Louth will play in their first All-Ireland semi-final since 1957, a year in which they went on to lift the Sam Maguire.
They are the only county left without recent All-Ireland final experience. Kerry won the competition last year, while Dublin did so in 2023. While this is a rejuvenated Mayo side, they did reach finals in both 2020 and 2021.
It should make for an intriguing few weeks of action ahead.
