Ireland is to use its new powers as the helm of the European Council to back more online censorship, officials from inside the state have confirmed.
Starting July 1, Ireland will hold the rotating presidency of the executive body for six months, allowing it to shape negotiations on key issues ranging from trade, immigration and defence.
