The Treaty won May’s Munster SHC round three clash by 15 against the Banner. The rivals now meet with a place in the All-Ireland final at stake

It has been a full nine weeks since Clare and Limerick last met in the Championship. Over 20,000 fans descended on Ennis to watch the latest installment of one of Munster hurling’s great rivalries.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan to for the hosts as they fell to a sobering 2-30 to 1-18 loss.
The Banner bounced back to take the third qualifying spot in Munster and sealed their semi-final berth with a comfortable 0-29 to 0-16 win over beaten Leinster finalists Dublin in the quarter-finals a fortnight ago.
How much progress Brian Lohan’s men have truly made since their last battle with the Treaty remains to be seen.
His counterpart, John Kiely, will be fully aware that the last two winners of the Munster Championship, including Limerick in 2024, failed to lift the Liam MacCarthy that same year.
