A motorcyclist in his 70s has died in hospital following a crash in Co Cavan yesterday.
GardaĆ and emergency services attended the scene at Drumsillagh, Tullyvin, Co Cavan, at around 10.50am yesterday.
The man was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he died last night.
The road was closed for for a technical examination, but later reopened.
GardaĆ are appealing to road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 10am and 11am yesterday, to make it available to them.

The man’s death brings to four the number of motorcyclists who have died on the country’s roads over the weekend.
In Co Dublin, a motorcyclist in his 50s died following a crash at the Skerries 100 motorcycle race yesterday.
In Co Cork, a motorcyclist in his 30s died following a collision in Ballyhea on Saturday evening.
In Co Kildare, a motorcyclist in his 50s died following a crash in Kilcock on Saturday morning.
Separately, a man in his 20s died in a two-car collision in Co Donegal yesterday evening.
So far this year 92 people have died on Irish roads, compared to 82 for the same period last year.
