Mohanad Lasheen to be Fouled 2+ Times
Mohaned Lasheen has been pretty efficient when it comes to drawing fouls this summer, including twice against Iran in his last start.
He currently plies his trade in his native Egypt with Pyramids FC, where he drew an average of 1.62 fouls per 90 in the Egyptian top-flight during the 25/26 season.
He has a tendency to buy cheap free-kicks and will play opposite the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Enzo Fernandez.
Both Fernandez and Mac Allister have combined for nine fouls in their three starts together. Argentina play aggressively, and given the stakes of this round of 16 clash, Lasheen should be on the receiving end of some cheap challenges.
Mostafa Zico to Commit 2+ Fouls
Zico has been one of his nation’s most consistent performers this World Cup, and like Argentina’s Lautaro Martinez, he does not give his opponents a yard of space, looking to force his opposing defenders into a mistake.
This selection has landed in each of his last three starts for Egypt, against the likes of Australia, Iran and New Zealand.
He also racked up four tackles in that period, again highlighting his work rate. Egypt will not have a lot of the ball for periods of this game, and Zico will be leading the press from the front.
Emam Ashour to have 1+ Shots on Target
Emam Ashour has really stepped up in an Egyptian attacking line that boasts the likes of Mo Salah and Omar Marmoush.
He was the star last time out against Australia, scoring the only goal from open play, and has five of his country’s 14 shots in 120 minutes. He scored against Belgium in the group stages, making him his nation’s top scorer this World Cup.
Argentina will be Egypt’s toughest match-up so far, and if anyone is to step up here for the underdogs, Ashour looks the likely candidate for a shot on target at this decent price.
